Weaving harakeke



Preparing for weaving. We said our karakia to thank Tanemahuta for sharing his harakeke treasure with us.


 

And our harakeke ika are complete!

  1. Hi Tangaroa, Wow. What long long flax! You certainly didnt give up! It must have been such a wonderful feeling to learn something new. We would love to know how you made your flax fish. I wonder what else you could make?

  2. I have my ika at home it's very well made too! I love how you managed to pick such healthy looking harakeke! What a lovely celebration of our Moana and Te Ao Maori at the same time! Tino Pai Rawa Atu Tangaroa!
