We had a terrific time at the Olympic Pools for our Junior Water Confidence Day! Many of us challenged ourselves to have a go on the hydroslide or rope swing for the first time - awesome kia kaha!

Learning about Place Value

I love listening to the amazing conversations between our learners everyday in Room Tangaroa! We have been learning about place value and it was exciting to hear the students learning from one another and helping each other make connections....."If you run out of hundreds flats you can just use 10 tens rods to make one hundred" and " I wonder if we've got enough ones cubes to equal a hundreds flat?" and "Let's see how many hundreds we need to make a thousand."

 

Ready for Recycling!

  

We went and spent some time with Herb on Friday to remind ourselves which bins to put our recycling and rubbish into. We want to help Herb as much as we can to ensure our rubbish is sorted correctly and that we are recycling as much as we possibly can!
